INGO total premiums amount to $384 mln in 1Q07
By preliminary results, consolidated premiums of INGO group, including SOFAG (Germany), INGO Ukraine (Ukraine), Garant (Austria), IngoNord (Finland), BelIngosstrakh (Republic of Belorussia), INGO Armenia (Republic of Armenia), Kyrgyzinstrakh (Kyrgyz Republic), OJSIC Ingosstrakh (Russia), IC Ingosstrakh-Life (Russia), IC Ingosstrakh-M (Russia), OJSC Emergency Insurance Company (Russia) have amounted to nearly $384 mln or Rub 10.2 bln in 1Q07 (average exchange rate for the period – 26.5988 Rub). Claims paid – $197 mln or Rub 5.2 bln (consolidated by group in compliance with IFRS).
In 1Q07, consolidated premiums of Russian companies of INGO group (OJSIC Ingosstrakh, IC Ingosstrakh-Life, IC Ingosstrakh-M, and OJSC Emergency Insurance Company) under direct insurance and risks accepted for reinsurance have amounted to Rub 9.7 bln or $367.7 mln, 14.0% more than in 1Q06 (by Russian Accounting Standards), including premiums of IC Ingosstrakh-M Ltd – Rub 1.5 bln or $56.5 mln.
Total volume of premiums collected by OJSIC Ingosstrakh under direct operations has achieved Rub 7.28 bln, 11.6% growth comparing to 1Q06 indicator. In voluntary non-life insurance (including incoming reinsurance) company’s premiums grew by 15.3% to Rub 7.5 bln, including personal (except life) – Rub 1.25 bln (13.1% growth), property – Rub 5.24 bln (18.1% growth), voluntary liability classes – Rub 1.0 bln (5.2% growth).
In compulsory motor TPL (CMTPL) class premiums for 1Q07 have amounted to 0.91 bln (18.2% growth).
Ingosstrakh has collected Rub 1.12 bln of incoming reinsurance premiums. Claims paid by OJSIC Ingosstrakh, IC Ingosstrakh-Life, IC Ingosstrakh-M, and OJSC Emergency Insurance Company amounted to Rub 6.3 bln or $238.3 mln, 61.5% exceeding 1Q06 indicator.
Under direct operations, Ingosstrakh has paid Rub 4.36 bln. In voluntary non-life insurance – Rub 3.84 bln, including personal (except life) – Rub 0.54 bln, property – Rub 3.17 bln, voluntary liability classes – Rub 0.12 bln. CMTPL claims in January-March 2007 amounted to Rub 0.45 bln.
During reporting period, assets of OJSIC Ingosstrakh, IC Ingosstrakh-Life, IC Ingosstrakh-M, and OJSC Emergency Insurance Company have increased by 31.6% to Rub 46.8 bln. Insurance reserves grew by 31.0% to Rub 34.8 bln. Equity as of April 1, 2007 achieved Rub 9.5 bln, 45.6% more than at December 31, 2006. Companies’ net profit amounted to Rub 777.7 mln, profit prior taxes – Rub 1.055 bln (by RAS).
By preliminary results, Ingosstrakh abroad subsidiaries incorporated into INGO group, such as SOFAG (Germany), INGO Ukraine (Ukraine), Garant (Austria), IngoNord (Finland), BelIngosstrakh (Republic of Belorussia), INGO Armenia (Republic of Armenia), Kyrgyzinstrakh (Kyrgyz Republic), have collected $60.4 mln or Rub 1.6 bln of premiums in 1Q07. Paid claims exceeded $33.2 mln or Rub 883.0 mln.
