On June 8, 2006, 10-year anniversary Meeting of International Academy of Management (IAM) was held in President Hotel (Moscow). At the meeting, Vladimir Volkov, Ugoria Director General was elected corresponding member of IAM.

According to Provisions of elections to IAM, specialists and scientists, who made significant contributions to development of management, can be elected as corresponding members.

IAM represents a community that has a sufficiently powerful and unique scientific and intellectual potential and brings together the chief executive officers of all sectors of the national economy and prominent economists from over 20 countries.

IAM conducts scientific and practical conferences, forums, round-tables and seminar which will enable V. Volkov to share his experience and knowledge with leading managers and economists of Russia and other foreign countries, and to use in his practical activities most progressive decisions that correspond to modern conditions and methods of management.

OJSC State Insurance Company Ugoria was established in 1997. Department of state property on behalf of Government of Yugra, Khanty-Mansi AD – is the sole shareholder of the company.

Authorized capital amounts to Rub 1.233 bln. Ugoria is licensed for 72 insurance classes and reinsurance. Over 100 braches and agencies operate in different regions of Russia. Company was awarded Financial Olympus International prize in “The best regional insurance company” nomination. V. Volkov, Director General, was awarded “Manager of the Year 2005” and Gold Salamander in “Manager of Regional insurance company 2005” nomination.

In 2005, company collected Rub 3.837 bln of premium, 159% up comparing to 2004, and paid Rub 1.441 bln of claims, 77% increasing 2004 indicator.
